COVID remains an issue in the world today, so Shaenfield Pediatric Dentistry is committed to keeping our patients and team safe. We want to protect everyone who steps through our doors. Here’s what we’re doing to make that happen:
Guidelines & Screening
We continue to follow the State Board, CDC, and OSHA guidelines regarding COVID. To prevent the spread of disease, we screen all our team members and patients for COVID symptoms. That includes temperature checks. Are you or your children experiencing symptoms like a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing before an appointment? Please call us so we can reschedule.
Masking
We ask that adults and children over 12 years old wear a mask in our office. Your mask should fit snugly over your face and cover both your mouth and nose. Our team will be in PPE (personal protective equipment).
Social Distancing
We practice social distancing in our office. That includes asking patients and their families to wait in their cars until the appointment. For children under the age of 12, only one parent will be able to accompany them into their appointment. Children over 12 will come in by themselves.
Hand-Washing & Hand Sanitizer
Our team members wash and sanitize their hands frequently, which has always been an important part of providing good dental care. We ask that patients wash their hands and use hand sanitizer when they enter our office.
Staying Safe & Healthy with Shaenfield Pediatric Dentistry in San Antonio, TX
Neglecting dental services like cleanings and exams during COVID can lead to worse problems for kids later on. Our office is committed to the safety of both patients and team members during these challenging times. If you have any questions about our COVID guidelines or want to book an appointment for your child, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
